Mature women please. What's with all the changes in my ex girlfriend?
She wants me back, but she has undergone some major changes since we broke up. For instance, she always "hated" wearing high heels when we were together, and only owned two pairs for formal occasions only. Now, she has litterally a hundred pairs of pumps, strappy's slingbacks (all sexy, but sooo unlike her). She wears them to work, shopping, etc., and she never liked doing it before at all. She also began wearing shorter skirts (she is a mature woman above 40). What's with all these changes all of a sudden? The other thing is that she always hated smoking. She said she would never do it, and that she did not want to ever date a smoker (I don't smoke). Yesterday, she informed me that she is a regular smoker now, and I saw a pack of Virginia Slims 120's in her purse. She saw that I noticed, and was like, "yeah, I smoke, and I know what you're going to say, but don't give me a hard time, because I really enjoy it." What's with all of the changes? She's not as sweet as she was?
Women go through changes like this at any age, but when you're in your 40s and not secure about how you feel about yourself, you try to change because you begin to notice that you're getting older. I just went through a mini one. I'm 27 and have been comfortable wearing converse and t-shirts but everyone thinks I'm a teenager. So I ditched all my clothes and began to wear high heels, slacks, and satin shirts. It makes me feel good about myself.
