Two people on a circle spinning near the speed of light?
Imagine you are standing about halfway between the center and edge of an infinitely strong circle, and a friend stands near the edge of the circle, and you both ride on the circle while it spins so that YOU are moving near the speed of light for about an hour.
What happens to the circle? The edge obviously can't be moving past the speed of light, but if the circle stayed its normal shape, it should be going about twice the speed of light.
And if you and your friend synchronized your watches prior to spinning the circle, would they show different times afterward? Because while you are moving at different linear speeds relative to an outside observer, you are not moving at different speeds relative to each other.
